Ooredoo Strengthens Partnership in Phase Three of Martyr's Park

Ooredoo Kuwait has praised the high patronage of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, for the opening ceremony of the third phase of the Martyr’s Park, affirming that its partnership with the Diwan Amiriri in this phase reflects its commitment to supporting national strategic projects that enhance the presence of green spaces and cultural, artistic, and sports destinations in the heart of the capital.
The partnership includes Ooredoo’s presence in various facilities and areas of the park, alongside organizing events and activities throughout the one-year partnership period. The company expressed its aspirations that these activities will enrich visitors’ experiences and provide opportunities for youth, local talents, and businesses to participate in a destination that brings together families and visitors of all ages and interests.
This strategic partnership stems from Ooredoo’s vision of its role as a leading company in the technology and telecommunications sector, combining the development of its digital services with active participation in initiatives that impact the lives of citizens, residents, and visitors.
Commenting on the partnership, Nof Misaed Al-Mashaan, Executive Director of Strategy and Corporate Affairs, stated: “At Ooredoo, we are proud of our partnership with the Diwan Amiriri in the third phase of the Martyr’s Park and our contribution to a national project of great significance to Kuwait. The park has become a space where everyone meets, and a destination that combines nature, culture, sports, and history in a single experience. Participating in developing this experience is both a responsibility and an opportunity; a responsibility toward our community, and an opportunity to deliver initiatives that leave a positive impact on the lives of citizens and residents.”
She added: “The importance of this partnership stems from our vision of the role that national companies can play in supporting government strategic projects. True partnership goes beyond appearing at a specific event or occasion; it is based on continuous collaboration that adds value to the place and its visitors. From this perspective, we look forward to working with the Diwan Amiriri to activate Ooredoo’s presence in the park through ideas and programs that respect the nature of this national project and address the diverse interests of its audience.”
Al-Mashaan emphasized the importance of the park’s geographical location: “The proximity between the new phase of the Martyr’s Park and Ooredoo’s headquarters holds special meaning for us. The park is located near our workplace and our daily presence in the heart of the capital, which makes our relationship with it closer and more connected. We want to be an active neighbor to this project; present in it, engaged with its visitors, and contributing to its activities. This proximity also gives us the opportunity to listen directly to people, understand what they enjoy, and learn what they look forward to seeing in upcoming events.”
Regarding upcoming events, she noted: “We believe that events give public spaces their renewed spirit, and we look forward to contributing to interactive, cultural, sports, and community activities that utilize the park’s facilities and align with its identity. We also see an important opportunity to involve youth, creatives, and small Kuwaiti businesses, giving them a platform to showcase their work and connect with the public. Our goal is for visitors to feel that there is always a new experience to discover, and that the events leave an impact that extends beyond the day they are held.”
She added, “Our participation in sports spaces and facilities dedicated to activities opens the door to encouraging more active lifestyles, making movement and sport an enjoyable part of the daily visit. Family-friendly and interactive events also enhance communication among community members and provide children and young people with opportunities to learn and participate. It is important to us that these experiences be close to people and easily accessible, and that they respect the nature of the park as a public space that brings everyone together.”
Al-Mashaan emphasized that sustainability is a central pillar of the partnership between the company and the Diwan Amir (Amiri Diwan) in the third phase, adding, “Green spaces contribute to improving quality of life and encourage walking and physical activity. On the other hand, cultural and educational activities represent a community investment in human capital across all age groups.”
Al-Mashaan also touched on the role of technology in enhancing the visitor experience, stating, “As a leading company in the technology and telecommunications sector, we are always seeking ways to make technology a key factor linking activities with audience engagement through innovative methods of participation and discovery. What matters to us is that technology serves the visitor experience and aligns with the park’s character, ensuring its presence is beneficial and seamless.”
She underscored the importance of cooperation with government entities: “Our partnership with the Diwan Amir reflects Ooredoo’s belief in the importance of integration between the private sector and state institutions. Major national projects achieve broader impact when various entities collaborate to support them and develop the experience they offer to society. We are keen to be a partner in initiatives that enhance Kuwait’s tourism, cultural, and sports standing.”
She added, “Throughout its history, Ooredoo has been committed to building partnerships that address community needs and aspirations, whether by supporting youth initiatives, contributing to cultural and sports events, or collaborating on projects that expand the benefits of technology. We view our partnership in the Martyr’s Park as an extension of this approach, as it brings together national service, sustainability, innovation, and direct engagement with visitors in one location.”
Concluding her statement, Al-Mashaan said, “We extend our gratitude to the Diwan Amir for this partnership and for the efforts made to develop Martyr’s Park and enrich its national and community role. At Ooredoo, we look forward to being an active part of the new phase; supporting national initiatives, contributing to sustainability, providing space for youth and talents to participate, and leveraging our expertise in technology and telecommunications to serve the visitor experience. Our ambition is for this partnership to be present in the details of what visitors experience within the park, offering them throughout the year what befits this place, Kuwait, and its people.”
