Thirty-three judges and judgeesses took the legal oath before the President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary and the President of the Court of Cassation, Advisor Dr. Adel Bursali, at the Supreme Council of the Judiciary headquarters in the new Justice Palace on Wednesday, in connection with the issuance of Decree No. 142 of 2026 transferring some members of the Public Prosecution to serve as judges in the Court of Cassation.
In a press statement, the Supreme Council of the Judiciary noted that Advisor Dr. Bursali congratulated the new judges on joining the judiciary, outlining the responsibilities resting on their shoulders and the duties they must uphold.
He urged them to strive for justice, safeguard the interests of litigants, and commit to continuous learning by staying abreast of developments in judicial principles, jurisprudential research, and technical fields, thereby enabling them to fulfill their mission to the highest standard.
He also advised them to do good for the State of Kuwait, emphasizing the necessity of protecting its security and stability, and of repaying, in part, the immense contributions bestowed upon them by their beloved country.
This comes within the framework of the plan and timeline established by the Supreme Council of the Judiciary to fully Kuwaitize the judiciary and the members of the judicial branch by the end of the 2029/2030 judicial year, in implementation of the High Order issued in this regard.
