Suspects Arrested for Recklessness and Carelessness

The General Directorate of Traffic successfully apprehended suspects involved in reckless and careless driving in two separate incidents, as part of its efforts to combat traffic behaviors that endanger road users and to protect lives and property.

The first suspect was caught after a video was recorded showing him driving a vehicle without license plates in a reckless manner. Through investigation and surveillance, the Security Control Department obtained information indicating that the vehicle was being used in the early hours of the morning. The vehicle was then tracked in the Al-Wafra Agricultural Area and followed until it reached the Um Al-Hayman area, where the driver was apprehended. It was found that the vehicle had no registration data, and the suspect confessed to engaging in reckless and careless driving.

In the second incident, an operational room received a report of reckless and careless driving in the Al-Wafra Agricultural Area. Patrol units immediately responded to the scene, seized the vehicle, and pursued its driver, who initially fled but was later apprehended in coordination with the Security Control Department.

Legal procedures were taken against both suspects, who were referred to the Central Prison. Both vehicles were impounded and confiscated in favor of the Ministry of Interior, in accordance with Article 33 bis of the Traffic Law.

The General Directorate of Traffic warned that reckless and careless driving will not go unpunished, emphasizing that attempts to flee will not prevent the pursuit and apprehension of violators. It reiterated that it will not tolerate any actions that endanger lives and property, and will take strict legal measures against all such offenders.
