Ali Al-Hamad, owner and chairman of English club Salisbury City, affirmed that his team’s upcoming match against Al-Qadsia, scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, will be intense, expressing his gratitude to the Kuwait Football Association and Al-Qadsia Club for their excellent hospitality.

During a press conference held today, Al-Hamad explained that the club, which competes in England’s sixth tier and aims to strengthen its ties with Kuwaiti and Gulf clubs while expanding the football base, had selected three Kuwaiti players last May: Ahmed Al-Jarawi, who will feature in tomorrow’s match; Ghanem Al-Othman, who is based in London; and Ahmed Al-Armali, who is sidelined due to injury.

He added that the club focuses on youth development and promoting a professional culture, highlighting the opening of an academy in Kuwait and providing opportunities for several young Kuwaiti coaches to train with the team.

Al-Hamad noted that the club’s ambitions include securing victories, attracting players, coaches, and sponsors, as well as building a strong youth foundation. He emphasized that the current visit contributes to strengthening sports relations and praised the warm reception in Kuwait.

For his part, Salisbury City manager Brian Dalton stated that the Kuwait trip represents a significant life and sporting experience for the players, helping them gain new expertise. He commended the team’s collective spirit and positive mindset, praised player Luke’s leadership role in guiding his teammates and maintaining their focus, and expressed optimism about the team’s future.
