Boubyan Bank concluded its field training program, organized during the summer holidays under the “Bader Wa Yana” project, in collaboration with the Public Authority for Child Welfare, with the participation of several university and institute students under the Authority’s care, as part of joint efforts to develop their skills and prepare them for professional life.
The program provided participants with the opportunity to gain direct exposure to the banking work environment through various bank channels, via a series of field experiences and practical tasks that contributed to enhancing their capabilities, introducing them to professional communication mechanisms, and helping them understand customer needs and service delivery, thereby broadening their horizons and assisting them in discovering their potential and professional interests.
Commenting on this, Adel Al-Humaid, General Manager of the Human Resources Group at Boubyan, said: “The program is an extension of the bank’s approach to investing in Kuwaiti youth by providing training opportunities that give them practical knowledge of work requirements and better prepare them to launch their careers.”
He added: “Boubyan is committed to supporting young national talents, especially university and institute students, through initiatives that provide them with a suitable environment for learning and experimentation, enabling them to develop and refine the practical and personal skills necessary to build successful and promising career paths, keep pace with labor market demands, and adapt to the rapid transformations in the banking sector.”
Al-Humaid emphasized that continuing cooperation with the Public Authority for Child Welfare for the fourth year reflects the integration of efforts among national institutions to provide quality opportunities for youth, helping them maximize their potential and enhance their readiness to actively participate in the labor market and support Kuwait’s development journey.
For his part, Abdulaziz Al-Roumi, Assistant General Manager of the Human Resources Group at Boubyan, said: “We believe that field training represents an important stage in youth preparation, as it offers them the opportunity to transition from academic knowledge to practical application and gain experiences that contribute to building their professional identity and boosting their confidence in their abilities, thereby helping them form a clearer vision of their future career paths.”
He continued: “The program aimed to provide a practical experience that gives participants a broader understanding of the nature of institutional work by involving them in a range of daily tasks and introducing them to banking operational mechanisms,” noting that their engagement throughout the various stages of the program contributed to developing several key skills, including time management, teamwork, accountability, and flexibility in handling different situations.
Al-Roumi affirmed that the program is part of a community partnership aimed at supporting and caring for the children of the Authority, in line with Boubyan’s values and its focus on empowering youth, highlighting the bank’s continued development and support of initiatives that offer them practical opportunities for learning and skill development in preparation for their professional futures.
Boubyan presented awards to Abdulaziz Al-Roumi and Abdulwahab Al-Khubzi, Manager of the Training and Development Department.
