Barcelona Begins Moves to Strengthen Squad

A media report stated that Spanish football club Barcelona has begun early preparations for upcoming transfer windows, closely monitoring players who operate as right-backs and left-backs.

According to the Spanish newspaper Sport, despite having viable options on the right flank with Jules Koundé and Eric García, and on the left with João Cancelo, Balde, and Chavi Espart, Barcelona believes a suitable opportunity may arise in the market, particularly given its limited financial resources. Therefore, the sporting management is primarily focusing on players whose contracts are expiring, enabling the club to sign them without paying transfer fees. According to the report, several experienced players are on Barcelona’s radar, including Leipzig captain David Raum and Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell, who is also set to become a free agent at the end of the season.

Earlier, Barcelona explored the possibility of signing Atlético Madrid’s Alejandro Grimaldo and Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso.

Barcelona’s management will need to act quickly, as players whose contracts expire will be able to negotiate and sign with their future clubs starting in January next year.
