AMD to Acquire AI Lab World Labs for $8.2 Billion

Ramp maker AMD announced it will acquire San Francisco-based World Labs in an $8.2 billion all-stock deal.

World Labs is an artificial intelligence research and modeling lab led by Fei-Fei Li. The company aims, through this acquisition, to strengthen its ability to develop AI-specific hardware, software, and systems tailored to the needs of emerging models and applications.
