After US Sanctions, Iran Turns to ICAO

Iran has filed a complaint with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) after U.S. sanctions on Iran’s aviation sector led to the cancellation of several flights from Tehran, according to the official IRNA news agency on Monday.

IRNA quoted Abu Zar Shiroudi, head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, as saying, “In defense of the legitimate rights of the aviation sector and in response to the illegal restrictions imposed by the United States, an official protest on behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran was prepared and submitted to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).”
