Algerian Energy Minister and OPEC Secretary General discuss enhancing dialogue and consultation on energy issues

Algerian Energy Minister Mourad Ould Abdallah held talks on Sunday with OPEC Secretary General Haitham Al-Ghais on the transformations affecting global energy markets and their development prospects, as well as on strengthening dialogue and consultation on energy-related issues.

The Algerian Ministry of Energy and Renewable Energy said in a statement that Sector Minister Mourad Ould Abdallah met on Sunday with OPEC Secretary General Haitham Al-Ghais, who is on a working visit to Algeria.

For his part, OPEC Secretary General Haitham Al-Ghais underscored Algeria’s important role in international discussions on energy issues, expressing OPEC’s commitment to continuing cooperation and consultation with Algeria on various matters of mutual interest.

Earlier on Sunday, OPEC Secretary General Haitham Al-Ghais held talks with Algerian Hydrocarbons Minister Mohamed Arkab, discussing developments in the global oil market, its future outlook, and the key challenges facing the global oil industry.
