Isaac scored a goal and played the full match in Sweden’s 2-1 victory over Romania on Friday in the UEFA Nations League, but he will miss his national team’s remaining three fixtures against Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Romania.
Liverpool stated in a press release today: “Alexander Isak has returned to Liverpool due to a minor injury and will not feature in Sweden’s remaining three matches during the current international break. He will now undergo assessment by the club’s medical staff.”
Isaac has suffered several injuries during his first season at Liverpool, and the club hopes he will recover before facing Manchester City in the Premier League on October 11 next year.
