US Energy Minister: 13 million barrels of oil per day transit the Strait of Hormuz

U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced that approximately 13 million barrels of oil pass through the Strait of Hormuz daily.

In an interview with Fox News, Wright said, “The U.S. military is helping to facilitate the transport of oil, gas, petroleum products, and even fertilizers through the Strait of Hormuz. On one day last week, more than 20 million barrels of oil transited the strait, a figure that exceeds pre-conflict levels, while the current average stands at around 13 million barrels per day.”
