"Talabat" collaborates with "CODED" Academy
Talabat, the latest session of its monthly Next Tech Gen (NTG) program, in collaboration with CODED Academy, through a specialized workshop that spanned two days, targeting students of Abdullah Al-Salem University.
As part of its ongoing efforts in corporate social responsibility, particularly in supporting education, Talabat continues to organize educational events under the Next Tech Gen program, which is held monthly to enhance the alignment between academic outputs and the changing demands of the labor market.
The program provides students with the opportunity to learn directly from a select group of technology experts at Talabat through practical sessions covering several key technical fields, including artificial intelligence, product development, data analysis, and digital platforms.
In this session, Talabat collaborated with CODED Academy, the first specialized academy for teaching programming in the region, to deliver a practical workshop aligned with future requirements.
The workshop witnessed significant attendance, reflecting the growing interest among Kuwaiti youth in technology fields, with more than 100 participants attending over the two days.
On this occasion, Amaal Bu-Khamsin, Director of Corporate Affairs at Talabat Kuwait, said: “We believe that the true impact of technology stems from investing in individuals. Through the Next Tech Gen program, we continue to equip Kuwaiti youth with practical skills that prepare them to lead the future of technology and innovation. Our collaboration with CODED Academy reflects the integration of expertise from two entities committed to empowering the next generation of technical talent, while also providing students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in leveraging artificial intelligence tools to transform their ideas into viable digital solutions.”
For his part, Hashim Bahbahani, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at CODED Academy, said: “We are delighted to continue our collaboration with Talabat through the Next Tech Gen program, which provides students with valuable opportunities to acquire practical technical skills. This workshop allowed participants to learn about website development mechanisms using artificial intelligence tools through practical applications, thereby boosting their confidence in their ability to transform their ideas into complete websites, while also preparing them to keep pace with the rapid demands of the digital economy.”
Among the 90 project ideas presented during the workshop, several innovative websites stood out, including the creation of a personalized prediction platform for a group of friends in a Diwaniya (social gathering) to compete during the knockout stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Each participant selects the winner of each match from the quarter-finals through to the final, earning points based on the accuracy of their predictions. A live leaderboard tracks the standings of competitors throughout the tournament, crowning the most accurate predictor at the final whistle on July 19.
In line with Talabat’s ongoing efforts to empower ambitious Kuwaiti talent and equip them with practical skills that meet future demands, the workshop provided participants with the opportunity to learn about the latest AI-powered web development tools and technologies. The training included effective prompt engineering and the use of advanced platforms such as Replit to design, develop, and launch websites comprehensively.
Participants also gained practical experience in integrating external digital services and understanding the modern architecture of web applications, alongside developing the business skills necessary to transform digital solutions into scalable and sustainable projects through effective business models. This equips them to leverage their technical knowledge to launch market-ready digital ventures with promising commercial potential.
It is worth noting that “Qitaf” reaffirms its commitment to continuing its investment in practical technical education through its Next Tech Gen program, which enhances students’ engagement with industry experts and exposure to cutting-edge technologies.
