Kuwait and Iraq agree to form a working group to address outstanding issues

Based on the outcomes of the meeting between His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may God protect him, and the President of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Iraq, Ali Al-Zaidi, held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, and in light of the keenness of both brotherly countries to strengthen bilateral relations and address outstanding files in the spirit of fraternity, good neighborliness, and shared interests, the two sides agreed on the following:

The two sides reaffirm their full support for the work of the team and their commitment to completing its mission, which will contribute to closing outstanding files and opening a new phase of cooperation and partnership between the two brotherly countries, thereby serving the interests of the Kuwaiti and Iraqi peoples.
