Kuwait handball team loses to Bahrain 25-28 at the 2026 Asian Games

The Kuwaiti handball team lost to Bahrain 28-25 on Friday in the final match of the preliminary round of the 20th Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya 2026), as part of Group B, which also includes Kazakhstan, Iran, and South Korea.

Kuwait led Bahrain 13-12 at the end of the first half, but Bahrain turned the tide in the second half to secure a 28-25 victory.

Kuwait had already secured its qualification for the quarterfinals, with its opponent to be determined later today following the conclusion of the preliminary round matches.

The "Blue Handball" team began its campaign with a 26-24 win over Iran, followed by a 23-26 loss to South Korea, and then a 43-19 victory over Kazakhstan.
