Kuwait national team coach, Portuguese Helio Sousa, affirmed that the technical staff and players are fully aware of the magnitude of the challenges facing the Blue Falcons against Iraq in the second round of Group A matches at the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup. He emphasized the importance of continuing to work on improving physical and technical aspects to help the team achieve its objectives.

Sousa added in a press conference held today that the large attendance from both sides is a wonderful thing, noting that the Blue Falcons will strive to deliver their best performance, despite the significant support the Iraqi national team will receive.

He explained that Iraq boasts a number of players who are professionals abroad, which increases the difficulty of the match, confirming that the technical staff is focused on developing the team’s capabilities and raising its technical and physical standards.

Sousa pointed out that pressure exists in all matches and training sessions, and is not necessarily linked to the strength of the opponent, affirming that the team is striving to secure a win, improve its performance, and reach its desired goal.

For his part, player Nasser Falah confirmed the Blue Falcons’ readiness to face Iraq, noting that preparations are progressing well, with efforts underway to address the mistakes that emerged in the previous match against the Saudi Arabian national team.
