Netanyahu: Attack on Iran Was Among Easiest Decisions

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday that launching an attack on Iran “was one of the easiest decisions I had to make,” and criticized a large number of delegates who walked out as he took the podium to deliver his speech, saying they “lack moral courage.”

Netanyahu said: “In defending itself, Israel is also defending many countries whose delegates just left this hall. In fact, I want you to know that many of their leaders thank us privately, even for our destruction of Iran’s nuclear capabilities.”

As Netanyahu approached the podium to deliver his speech, a mix of cheers and boos erupted, while a large number of attendees left the hall en masse, leaving most of the seats empty. The President of the General Assembly, Khalil al-Rahman, repeatedly urged: “Maintain order in the hall.”
