Prince's Representative Receives NATO Secretary-General in New York

His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince, received today Mark Rutte, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and his accompanying delegation. The meeting took place at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, the frameworks of the distinguished partnership and cooperation between the State of Kuwait and NATO were reviewed within the context of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative. The discussion also covered the follow-up on training and technical cooperation programs through the NATO Regional Cooperation Center in Kuwait, as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern and efforts to enhance international security and stability.
