Amiri Representative: Opportunities for Investment in Kuwaiti Human Capital
Over a series of marathon sessions bringing him together with officials and leaders from various countries around the world, the interests of Kuwaitis remained the primary concern of His Highness the Amir’s Representative, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, during their participation in the events of the high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. His Highness ensured that the future of citizens was present in his meetings with the heads of major global technology and investment companies. The latest of these meetings took place yesterday, when His Highness met with Jonathan Gray, Chairman of the global investment group Blackstone and Chief Executive Officer of its operations, to discuss ways to provide investment opportunities in national human capital, thereby contributing to developing their capabilities and honing their skills, and leveraging global expertise in investment fields.
The meeting between His Highness and the Chairman of Blackstone also explored opportunities for joint investment cooperation between Kuwait and the group, as well as discussing key economic developments and global investment opportunities.
Regarding his meetings with heads of state, His Highness met, at the premises of the Permanent Mission of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York, with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa, Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam, Libyan Presidential Council President Mohamed al-Menfi, Somali President Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, as well as Grand Duke of Luxembourg Grand Duke Guillaume, Deputy Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Abdullah al-Ahmar, Polish President Karol Nawrocki, and Rwandan Prime Minister Justin Nsengiyumva. His Highness conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir to them, along with best wishes for their good health, and for their countries and peoples, for enduring peace, stability, progress, and prosperity.
As part of his meetings yesterday, His Highness received NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, with whom he reviewed efforts to enhance the distinctive partnership and cooperation frameworks between the two sides, within the framework of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, and to follow up on training and technical cooperation programs through NATO’s Regional Center in Kuwait. They also discussed regional and international issues of common interest and efforts to strengthen international security and stability.
Yesterday, His Highness the Amir’s Representative, Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, held meetings at the premises of the Permanent Mission of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, with a number of state leaders and officials. The discussions focused on bilateral relations and ways to develop them, alongside reviewing the latest developments on the regional and international scenes.
During the meetings with state leaders, the fraternal bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and their countries, and ways to develop them to serve common interests and peoples, were discussed, in addition to reviewing the most prominent developments on the regional and international fronts.
His Highness, representing His Highness the Amir, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, also received Jonathan Gray, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the global investment group Blackstone, and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting discussed opportunities for joint investment cooperation between Kuwait and Blackstone, reviewed economic developments and global investment opportunities, and explored ways to provide investment opportunities in national human capital, thereby contributing to developing their capabilities, honing their skills, and leveraging global expertise in investment fields.
During the meeting, the frameworks of distinguished partnership and cooperation between Kuwait and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) were reviewed, within the framework of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, and the training and technical cooperation programs through the NATO Regional Cooperation Centre in Kuwait were followed up. Additionally, regional and international issues of common interest were discussed, along with efforts to enhance international security and stability.
