University of Kuwait: Artificial Intelligence Is a Qualitative Leap

The University of Kuwait organized an introductory workshop for faculty members on the use of the “Gemini Enterprise” platform, in collaboration with “Google Cloud,” held at the KUIZ Innovation Center, which is part of the Institutional Innovation Department at the Sabah Al-Salem City University.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Mutawa, Deputy Vice President for Academic Support Services, affirmed that the adoption of artificial intelligence represents a qualitative leap in enhancing the educational process. He noted that the University of Kuwait is among the first universities in the Gulf and the region to adopt a regulation governing the use of artificial intelligence, reflecting its commitment to keeping pace with technological advancements and integrating them within clear institutional frameworks.

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Al-Marzouq, Assistant Deputy Vice President for Academic Support Services for Information Technology, explained that the university is working to provide faculty members with access to modern technologies and familiarize them with the mechanisms for leveraging artificial intelligence tools. This includes utilizing their capabilities to develop teaching practices and support both the educational process and scientific research.
