80 countries call at the UN to restore freedom of navigation in the Gulf region

A coalition of 80 countries called on Thursday at the United Nations for the full restoration of freedom of navigation in the Gulf region, which was disrupted by Tehran following the start of the U.S.-Israeli war against it in February.

Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, while reading a joint statement to journalists, said, “We call for the immediate and full restoration of the rights and principles of navigation.”
