Ali Al-Bouhamed, Head of Complaints and Customer Protection at Kuwait Finance House (KFH), appeared as a guest on the Diwaniya Al-Yaqoot and Al-Ansari program on 360 FM to discuss the “Let Us Be Aware” campaign, highlighting the bank’s ongoing participation in supporting the initiative and its continuous contribution to achieving financial inclusion and raising awareness among all segments of Kuwaiti society.

The interview introduced the campaign and its role in protecting customers in the banking sector, outlining their rights and obligations when dealing with banks. It also highlighted key updates in the revised Customer Protection Guide, which include notifying customers three months prior to the renewal of products with automatic annual renewal, disclosing any associated fees, and clarifying the cancellation process.

Al-Bouhamed noted that KFH has reduced its response time for customer complaints to just five working days. He also mentioned that all the bank’s branches have been equipped with ramps to facilitate movement and services for people with special needs. He emphasized several other points in the updated guide, which fully align with the “Let Us Be Aware” campaign.

He warned customers to be cautious of fraud and the evolving tactics of scammers and hackers, urging everyone not to click on untrusted links, to carefully read messages containing One-Time Passwords (OTPs), and to avoid auto-filling them. He stressed that these steps are essential to protect personal data and bank accounts.

The interview also addressed the latest fraud trends involving artificial intelligence, stressing that hackers may exploit modern technologies to achieve their goals and steal data.

Al-Bouhamed affirmed that KFH is one of the leading supporters of “Let Us Be Aware,” as evidenced by its promotion of the campaign across its branches, ATM screens, website, mobile app, and social media pages. The bank shares diverse videos, infographics, and images to engage with all customer segments in the local market. He added that KFH will continue implementing initiatives aimed at reaching various segments and successfully achieving the campaign’s objectives.
