Director of the Atomic Energy Authority Congratulates Kuwait on its Presidency of the Conservation of Nature

This came during a meeting between Grossi and Assistant Secretary of State for International Organizations Affairs, Ambassador Sadiq Ma’arifi, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Grossi expressed his anticipation for continuing cooperation with Kuwait in the coming period, while Ambassador Ma’arifi emphasized the country’s commitment to supporting the Agency’s role and enhancing cooperation with it in the fields of peaceful uses of nuclear energy and nuclear security and safety.

The two sides discussed during the meeting ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination on issues of mutual interest, and the importance of supporting the Agency’s efforts in carrying out its mandate, thereby contributing to the enhancement of international peace and security.
