Prince's Representative: Strengthening Arab Solidarity and Coordinating Positions Internationally
The representative of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid, continued his meetings on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. These meetings included discussions with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, several heads of state and government, as well as officials from major global investment institutions and corporations.
At the outset of the meeting, His Highness the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, and his best wishes for success and prosperity in strengthening the path of Arab common action.
The meeting focused on ways to enhance Arab solidarity and cooperation, coordinate positions on Arab issues in international forums, and discuss the latest developments and updates in the regional and international arenas.
During the meeting with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and prospects for cooperation in various fields of mutual interest, as well as discussed the most prominent current developments in the regional and international arenas.
His Highness the Crown Prince’s meeting with Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye addressed bilateral relations and ways to enhance mutual cooperation in various fields, alongside exchanging views on the most significant regional and international developments.
In the meeting with the Prime Minister of Iceland, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and ways to develop them to serve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples, in addition to discussing several issues of mutual interest.
In the meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the two sides reviewed the strong bilateral relations and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields. They agreed to work toward establishing a strategic dialogue between Kuwait and Pakistan, chaired by the foreign ministers of the two countries, to serve as an institutional and regular framework for consultation and coordination, contributing to elevating bilateral relations to broader horizons that achieve shared interests.
The two sides also discussed the most prominent issues on the agenda of the General Assembly, as well as the latest developments in the regional and international arenas.
Within the framework of meetings with Arab countries, His Highness the Crown Prince received Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and his accompanying delegation. His Highness conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, along with his best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of Egypt and its brotherly people.
The two sides reviewed the historic and solid fraternal relations between Kuwait and Egypt, characterized by close cooperation and continuous coordination, and discussed ways to support, strengthen, and elevate these relations in various fields to achieve the shared interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
They also exchanged views on the most prominent issues, discussed the latest regional and international developments, and emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and consultation on these matters.
His Highness also met with the Prime Minister of Iraq to discuss relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in various fields to serve the shared interests of the two countries and peoples, as well as to discuss the latest developments and issues of mutual interest in the regional and international arenas.
Parallel to the political meetings, His Highness the Crown Prince’s activities in New York included meetings with leaders of several of the world’s largest investment and financial institutions, including KKR, Goldman Sachs, and BlackRock.
He also received David Solomon, Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs, and his accompanying delegation. The two sides discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation and addressed several economic and developmental topics, as well as promising investment opportunities in Kuwait.
The meeting also addressed investment in national human capital, the development of leadership and technical skills, and the building of a workforce capable of keeping pace with the rapid transformations in the investment and financial markets sectors, alongside a review of the latest economic developments on both the regional and international stages.
His Highness the Crown Prince also received Larry Fink, Chief Executive Officer of BlackRock, and his accompanying delegation. They reviewed and discussed economic and investment matters of mutual interest, and examined the latest global developments in investment and financial markets, as well as ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides.
The meeting underscored the importance of developing human capital and investing in national competencies through the exchange of expertise and knowledge transfer, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and supporting sustainable development goals.
The meetings were attended by Sheikh Jeraah Al-Jaber, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Mishal Al-Jaber, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi; Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah, Ambassador of Kuwait to the United States of America; Ambassador Tariq Al-Bunai, Permanent Representative of Kuwait to the United Nations; and Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Dai, Director of the Crown Prince’s Office.
