Referees' camp for the tournament concludes in Jeddah

The Gulf Football Association’s Referees Committee concluded, on Wednesday, the preparatory camp for the referees participating in the 27th Gulf Cup, “Gulf Cup 27 – Arab Diyar,” which will be hosted in Jeddah from September 23 to October 6, 2026.

Hani Talib Balan, head of the Referees Committee at the Gulf Football Association, praised the atmosphere of the four-day preparatory camp, expressing his strong confidence in the refereeing teams’ ability to deliver a high standard of performance during the tournament.

Balan commended the cooperation of all participating referees and their commitment to maximizing the benefits of the preparatory program, which included theoretical lectures and practical training sessions, aimed at achieving the highest level of readiness before the start of the competition.

The 27th edition of the Gulf Cup features a diverse refereeing presence, with participation from Gulf states as well as referees from outside the region. Refereeing teams from Morocco, Jordan, and China, along with two teams each from the Netherlands and Portugal, will take part, reflecting an openness to international refereeing experiences and the leveraging of diverse expertise to enhance the refereeing system during the tournament.
