$1 million for the "hero"... and an apartment for the best player

Jassim Al-Ramahi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Football Union, revealed details regarding the prize money for the Gulf Cup 27 tournament, currently being held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

In a video posted on the official X account of Saudi Arabia’s Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper, Al-Ramahi stated: “The champion will receive one million dollars, while the runner-up will receive 500,000 dollars.”

He added that the tournament’s best player will be awarded an apartment as a gift, with its location to be determined later. He noted that “there is full coordination with the organizing committee and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation to ensure the tournament’s success, and I hope it will be held to the highest standards.”

He concluded his remarks by saying, “It is difficult to currently gauge the scale of the tournament’s revenues, but the number of sponsors has reached an unprecedented level (12 sponsoring companies), which is an achievement that credits the Gulf Football Union and its marketing department.”
