Lavrov to the Security Council: Russia will not suspend its operations in Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov informed the UN Security Council on Wednesday that Moscow “will not suspend” its ongoing war in Ukraine, which has lasted more than four years.

Lavrov stated, “We will not suspend our special military operation,” referring to Russia’s official characterization of the invasion it launched in 2022, and accused Europe of seeking to exploit any ceasefire to “supply the Kyiv regime with weapons.”
