Representative of His Highness the Amir Receives the Somali President at the Headquarters of the State of Kuwait’s Delegation to the United Nations

His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince, received today Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and the accompanying delegation, on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of the Country, may God protect and guard him. The meeting took place at the permanent mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York City, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly.

At the outset of the meeting, His Highness the Crown Prince conveyed greetings from His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of the Country, may God protect and guard him, to His Excellency, along with best wishes for his good health and for the Federal Republic of Somalia and its brotherly people, praying for enduring peace, stability, and prosperity.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and the Federal Republic of Somalia, as well as ways to develop them in the interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples. It also addressed key developments on the regional and international scenes.
