Al-Kuwaitiya for Dairy Opens New Branch
The Kuwait Dairy Company – KDC (Kay Dee Cow) officially opened its new Ice Cream Tours Hall at its factory, offering an interactive educational experience aimed at introducing students, families, institutions, and community partners to the local dairy industry in Kuwait and the journey products undergo before reaching consumers.
The Tours Hall allows visitors to directly observe production lines, manufacturing, and packaging processes, learn about food safety and quality standards, and gain insight into KDC’s manufacturing capabilities. Visitors can also sample the company’s products and learn about its role in supporting local agriculture and manufacturing, as well as enhancing food security in Kuwait.
Khalid Yusuf Al-Hajri, Chief Executive Officer of the Kuwait Dairy Company – KDC, stated: “For decades, KDC has been part of the daily lives of families in Kuwait. Through the Tours Hall, we are opening our doors to the next generation to learn firsthand about the source of their food, how it is produced, and the people and technology behind this industry. We want young people to see up close what Kuwait can produce locally and to feel proud of the strength of our country’s food manufacturing sector.”
Inspiring the Next Generation
Schools are at the heart of this initiative, as the Tours Hall provides students with the opportunity to directly engage with the food industry, learn about agriculture, production, quality assurance, and the importance of supporting locally made products.
Since its soft launch in May 2026, the Tours Hall has welcomed approximately 1,400 visitors. Each tour can accommodate up to 35 visitors, with the hall’s annual capacity reaching approximately 23,000 visitors as the program expands.
A new educational experience allows visitors to closely observe production processes at KDC, with a capacity to host up to 23,000 visitors annually.
In addition to schools, the Tours Hall welcomes universities, government entities, business partners, clients, and other institutions interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the dairy and food manufacturing sectors in Kuwait.
Connecting the Community with Local Production
The KDC Ice Cream Tours Hall serves as a platform for community engagement, introducing the public to the people and technologies behind locally manufactured products.
