Al-Tijariya Real Estate participates in beach cleanup campaign on World Cleanup Day

In line with its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and environmental sustainability, and on the occasion of World Cleanup Day, The Commercial Real Estate Company (Tajerriya) participated as a Platinum Partner in the beach cleanup campaign organized by Spread the Passion, the event’s organizer in Kuwait. The campaign was held on Saturday (the 19th of this month) at Kuwait Towers Beach, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation, reduce pollution, and contribute to the protection of the marine environment.

The event saw the participation of more than 350 volunteers at the Kuwait Towers Beach site, out of a total of over 1,000 volunteers distributed across various campaign locations throughout Kuwait. This community engagement reflects the importance of volunteer work and collective efforts to protect the environment, and was attended by Mishal Al-Khalifi, a member of the Capital Governorate Council.

The campaign resulted in the collection of approximately 1.5 tons of waste and debris, contributing to pollution reduction, maintaining the cleanliness of beaches and the marine environment, and enhancing awareness of the importance of adopting more sustainable practices to preserve natural resources for future generations.

Tajerriya distributed 75 eco-friendly bags to participants, aiming to encourage the adoption of a more sustainable lifestyle and to promote environmental awareness within the community.

Engineer Abdulmattalib Ma’arifi, Chief Executive Officer of Tajerriya, affirmed that the company’s participation in this initiative is an extension of its commitment to social and environmental responsibility, and its dedication to supporting initiatives that promote a culture of volunteering, sustainability, and environmental conservation.

He added that such initiatives highlight the importance of collaboration among various entities and community members to create a positive and lasting impact, expressing his appreciation to all participants and volunteers who contributed to the success of the campaign.

For her part, Dr. Fatima Al-Mousawi, the official representative of Kuwait for the campaign and Executive Director of the Kafu Project, emphasized the importance of the combined efforts of participating organizations and volunteers in spreading the culture of volunteering and community service, and in raising awareness about the importance of environmental conservation.

Tajerriya’s participation in the campaign is part of its social responsibility programs and initiatives, reflecting its commitment to supporting efforts aimed at building a more aware and sustainable society, and contributing to the protection of the environment and natural resources.
