Al-Yousef: State of Kuwait stands by the Kingdom of Bahrain against all threats to its security and stability
The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Kuwait, Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud Al-Sabah, met in Manama today, Wednesday, with Bahraini Minister of Interior, General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, to discuss ways to enhance security cooperation and review the latest developments in the regional and international arenas, in a manner that supports security and stability and advances the trajectory of joint Gulf security efforts.
The Bahraini Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that this meeting took place during the Bahraini Minister of Interior’s reception of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Kuwaiti Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The visit stems from the firm bonds of brotherhood and the close historical relations between the two sister countries.
The statement noted that Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef emphasized during the meeting Kuwait’s steadfast support for Bahrain in the face of any threats to its security and stability, drawing on the historical ties that unite the two countries and their peoples.
For his part, the Bahraini Minister of Interior welcomed Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef’s visit, expressing his pride in the level of security cooperation and coordination achieved within the framework of joint efforts to confront security challenges and regional developments.
In this context, he affirmed Bahrain’s support for all measures undertaken by Kuwait to preserve its security and stability, stressing the importance of enhancing the exchange of expertise in all fields of security work between the two countries. This aims to ensure public safety and security within the framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries’ system and its unifying principles for joint Gulf action.
Both sides stressed the importance of continuing security cooperation and coordination, as well as the exchange of expertise and information between the Ministries of Interior of the two sister countries. They praised the advanced level reached by bilateral relations and the close cooperation witnessed across various security fields.
During the meeting, both sides highlighted the importance of unifying efforts and strengthening Gulf security partnerships to confront current challenges, and to support all initiatives that consolidate the foundations of security and stability and achieve shared interests.
