Iranian media: Araghchi informs Vaitkoff of 3 conditions to reopen the Strait of Hormuz

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff on Tuesday on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, and conveyed Tehran’s conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, according to Iranian media.

Iran’s state-run Islamic Republic Broadcasting and Television quoted Araghchi as telling Witkoff that Tehran’s demands include “the immediate lifting of the U.S. naval blockade, the prompt release of all frozen Iranian assets, and an end to the war on all fronts.”
