U.S. Chargé d'Affaires: Kuwait and Washington have stood together in both the best and the hardest times

Stephen Butler, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait, affirmed the depth and strength of Kuwaiti-American relations, noting that the two countries are celebrating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties, underpinned by a steadfast partnership and friendship that has endured for decades and witnessed numerous achievements and shared stances.

He made these remarks in a video message posted on the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait’s account on the X platform, marking the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Butler stated that Kuwait and the United States have stood together in both the best and the most challenging times, and will continue to stand side by side in the years ahead.

He highlighted that the trajectory of Kuwaiti-American relations has been shaped by a friendship that has been solidified amid conflicts, jointly achieved accomplishments, and successive generations of Americans and Kuwaitis who have contributed to building close ties that have brought the two countries closer together.
