Kuwaiti songs ignite the "Blue" team's enthusiasm at the 27th Gulf Cup
The responsibility of art extends beyond mere entertainment; it plays a vital role in national and sporting events that reflect the spirit of society and foster a sense of belonging. This is the belief of Sheikha Abrar Al-Khalid, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of E-Biz Productions for Artistic Production, who has been keen to support the Kuwaiti national team’s participation in the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup (Khaleeji 27). The tournament is scheduled to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from the 23rd of this month until October 6. She has produced three special musical works dedicated to “The Blue,” who will open the tournament today with a match against their brotherly Saudi Arabian national team.
Sheikha Abrar affirmed that supporting the Kuwaiti national team in this Gulf event is a national duty that rests on the shoulders of all of us. She noted that “E-Biz Productions” is always committed to leveraging its capabilities to produce national works that resonate with the hearts of the Kuwaiti public, contributing to boosting the morale of players and fans, and supporting “The Blue” in their Gulf campaign.
She revealed the renewal of collaboration with the young director Shamlan Al-Nassar, who is directing the three songs. She added: “We have renewed our confidence in this project with the young and distinguished director Shamlan Al-Nassar, following a series of shared successes we have achieved with him in the past. We are confident that his directorial vision will add a distinctive visual touch that matches the artistic value of the lyrics and melodies.”
She explained that the project aimed for diversity in musical styles, while bringing together established artists and young talents. She noted that the first song, titled “Our Blue is History,” features vocals by Abdul Salam Muhammad and Hanin, with lyrics by Ali Boughaith, composition by Abdul Salam Muhammad, and arrangement by Talal Al-Aidan. The second song, “Our Blue is New,” features the artist Nabil Shuaileh, known as “The Pulse of Kuwait.” The third song, “Blue Has Arrived,” is performed by the artist Nasser Al-Mashari. Both the second and third songs have lyrics by Abdullah Al-Omani, composition by Muhammad Al-Jasim, and arrangement by Fahad Al-Bahri.
Sheikha Abrar concluded her statement by expressing her wishes for success and good fortune for the Kuwaiti national team in “Khaleeji 27.” She expressed her hope that these works will help sharpen determination and provide the necessary moral support to “The Blue,” in a manner befitting the name and standing of Kuwait in this Gulf sporting event.
