Infantino announces readiness for reforms

FIFA President Gianni Infantino affirmed his readiness to implement reforms in a message addressed to the presidents of the 211 national associations that are members of the FIFA Congress, as well as to the members of the FIFA Council, which was reviewed by the German news agency DPA.

Infantino, who has headed FIFA since 2016, faces strong opposition from other continental confederations in Asia and CONCACAF (North, Central America and the Caribbean).

In response, Infantino confirmed his intention to run for the FIFA presidency in the elections scheduled for next year, 2027.
