Pakistani Navy tests modern weapons in Seaspark 2026 exercises

The maneuvers are conducted on a large scale every two years, during which all tactics, techniques, procedures, systems, platforms, and modern weapons that have been commissioned are tested. This edition places a focus on unmanned systems.

Retired Admiral Faisal Shah, a military analyst, stated that recent conflicts around the world have “taught us that low-cost remotely piloted weapons are the foundation of modern warfare.”

Admiral Shah added that this type of weapon, which can be rapidly replaced at low cost, is being developed by all three branches of the Pakistani armed forces, highlighting the priority given to projectiles and missiles, as well as unmanned aircraft and boats.

He emphasized the ongoing development of all defensive domains, with a priority on low-cost and unmanned weapons.
