Al-Houla discusses cooperation with the Egyptian Ambassador and the UNHCR

Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Umthil Al-Huwaileh, met with Egyptian Ambassador to the country, Mohamed Aboulwafa, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences between the two sister countries in social and humanitarian fields.

The Ministry stated in a press release that the meeting addressed areas of cooperation in protecting women and children, as well as regulating charitable and humanitarian work, reflecting the strength of relations between the two sister countries and supporting joint work pathways. Both sides also affirmed the depth of their historical and fraternal ties and their commitment to enhancing cooperation across various sectors.

Minister Al-Huwaileh also met with Dr. Khalid Al-Khalifa, Advisor to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and partnership in humanitarian and relief fields.

The Ministry noted that the coordination meeting discussed the importance of the role played by the UNHCR in managing relations and coordinating humanitarian and relief partnerships with governments, relevant agencies, and private sector institutions in Gulf countries, contributing to the support of refugees and those affected worldwide.
