Waiy Launches Generation Card for American Baccalaureate Students

Wiyay Bank, in collaboration with the American Baccalaureate School, celebrated the launch of the exclusive “Jil” card for the school’s students. The card features the winning design from a competition specifically launched to foster students’ creative skills and enhance their financial awareness through an educational experience that blends art with practical application.
The competition provided students with the opportunity to express their talents and ideas by designing the Jil card. Participants submitted works that reflected a distinctive artistic sensibility and remarkable creativity.
This initiative is part of Wiyay Bank’s commitment to supporting young talent and promoting financial literacy among emerging generations. By offering programs and practical experiences, the bank aims to help students develop early financial awareness while encouraging creative thinking and innovation.
Jil is the first comprehensive banking experience in Kuwait for children and youth aged 8 to 14. It enables them to acquire the fundamentals of sound financial management and responsible money use, while instilling concepts of saving and financial planning at an early age. Parents can oversee and monitor their children’s activities through the Wiyay app.
The initiative also reflects the longstanding partnership between Wiyay Bank and the American Baccalaureate School, which has included organizing interactive workshops and educational activities aimed at enhancing students’ financial awareness and translating theoretical concepts into practical practices within a learning environment that encourages exploration and experimentation.
On this occasion, Aamal Al-Duwaishan, Head of Wiyay Bank, stated: “We are proud to launch the Jil card, which embodies the fruit of our collaboration with the American Baccalaureate School and reflects our vision of empowering the new generation with the financial and life skills they need for the future. What makes this initiative even more rewarding is that it gave students the opportunity to transform their artistic creativity into a real product that carries their unique imprint and expresses their identity.”
She added: “At Wiyay Bank, we believe that building financial awareness begins at an early age. Therefore, we strive to offer innovative experiences that combine education with practical application, helping students develop positive financial habits and boost their confidence in their abilities and potential.”
Areej Al-Ghanim, Principal of the American Baccalaureate School, also commented: “We are proud of our ongoing partnership with Wiyay Bank in initiatives that enrich students’ educational experience and connect learning with practical application. The exclusive Jil card design competition provided our students with a unique opportunity to apply their artistic skills and creativity in a real project that reflects their personalities and ideas. We believe that such initiatives contribute to fostering a spirit of innovation and self-confidence among students, while also introducing them to important financial concepts that help them build responsible financial awareness from an early age.”
The participating and winning students were honored in recognition of their efforts and creativity. Wiyay Bank also expressed its gratitude to the administration of the American Baccalaureate School, the art teachers, and the parents for their active role in supporting and encouraging students to develop their talents. The bank reaffirmed its commitment to continuing the launch of initiatives that contribute to building a more aware, empowered, and future-ready generation.
