Spain Seizes 2 Tons of Cocaine Aboard Yacht

Spanish authorities announced the seizure of a yacht carrying 2.1 tons of cocaine approximately 650 kilometers off the coast of Galicia in northwestern Spain.

The Spanish Tax Agency and Customs Authority reported on Monday that the yacht’s four crew members, from Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, and Albania, were arrested, along with the arrest of another gang member in Girona, near Barcelona.

The agency stated that the yacht had been under surveillance since it set sail in July from the port of Roses on Spain’s Mediterranean coast, near the French border.
