Zain Celebrates the Conclusion of the Current Season of "Kuwait Programs"
Zain Kuwait celebrated the successful conclusion of the current season of the “Kuwait Codes” initiative, in strategic partnership with CODED Academy, during a closing ceremony held at the Martyr’s Park. The event featured student project showcases and the honoring of winners and outstanding performers across the program’s various tracks.
During the ceremony, Zain participated in honoring the students behind the winning projects and presented the “Zain Award for Youth and Society,” recognizing a project that successfully leveraged technical skills and digital tools to deliver an innovative idea serving society and youth. This step reflects the company’s commitment to encouraging participants to transform their acquired knowledge into impactful solutions and ideas.
The conclusion of this season marks a new milestone in the five-year partnership between Zain and CODED Academy, which has helped extend the reach of “Kuwait Codes” to more than 5,500 students. Through hands-on learning experiences, the initiative aims to introduce young people to technology at an early stage, develop their skills, and help them explore their interests and future academic and professional paths.
The partnership with “Kuwait Codes” is part of Zain’s corporate sustainability strategy, which prioritizes youth empowerment and digital education. It supports initiatives that contribute to building national capabilities and preparing a generation equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to actively participate in the digital economy and the future job market.
In a speech delivered on the sidelines of the event, Hamed Al-Musayebih, Executive Director of Corporate Relations and Communications at Zain Kuwait, said: “Today, we celebrate the successful conclusion of a new season of ‘Kuwait Codes.’ However, we do not view this occasion as the end of a training program, but rather as the beginning of a new phase in these young people’s journey toward excellence and innovation in the world of technology and digital innovation.”
He added: “At Zain, we take pride in our five-year partnership with CODED Academy, through which we have built a continuous story of empowering Kuwaiti youth in digital fields. The initiative’s reach to more than 5,500 students reflects the growing passion of Kuwait’s youth for technology and their readiness to help shape the future of the digital economy.”
Al-Musayebih continued: “For us, the value of the program is not measured solely by the number of participants, but by the practical skills they leave with, their increased confidence in their abilities, and their clearer understanding of the opportunities and specializations they can build upon in the future.”
He emphasized that the continuous acceleration in artificial intelligence developments necessitates moving beyond merely familiarizing oneself with these technologies to acquiring the skills needed to deploy them consciously and responsibly. He noted that the role of institutions extends beyond providing tools to empowering youth with the knowledge and skills that enable them to innovate and leverage technology effectively and positively, which drives Zain to continue this partnership with the “Kuwait Codes” program.
The 2026 season offered a primarily hands-on learning experience benefiting approximately 1,000 young participants through three main tracks: cybersecurity, Python programming using artificial intelligence technologies, and website development using artificial intelligence. Participants progressed from learning core concepts to applying them through challenges, workshops, and practical projects, which were showcased at the program’s conclusion.
The program also provided participants with the opportunity to engage with real-world work environments and explore technology applications across various sectors. As part of its accompanying activities, Zain hosted approximately 200 students at its Shweikh headquarters during the season, where they gained hands-on experience in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and customer service, alongside responsible and conscious use of modern technologies.
The partnership between Zain and CODED Academy extends beyond the “Kuwait Codes” program to encompass a range of high-impact initiatives in technical education and innovation, including “X Academy” for the digital empowerment of girls, as well as other specialized training programs. This collaboration aims to expand opportunities in technical learning and prepare national talent to compete for jobs of the future.
Zain concluded by reaffirming its commitment to investing in Kuwait’s youth and the skills they need for their future, and to continuing community partnerships with various academic institutions to support quality initiatives that open broader spaces for new generations to learn, experiment, and innovate, thereby preparing them to contribute to shaping Kuwait’s digital future.
