Atletico clinch the derby against Real Madrid

Atlético Madrid secured a derby victory over their neighbors Real Madrid, who were reduced to ten men, winning 2-1 on Sunday at the Metropolitano Stadium in the capital in the seventh round of the Spanish La Liga.

It was the second victory for Getafe this season, taking their total to eight points and moving them up to ninth place, while Málaga, who have only three points from three draws, remain at the bottom of the table.

Later in the day, Villarreal will face Levante, Deportivo La Coruña will take on Real Betis, and Valencia will play Real Sociedad.
