Empowering the Industry Authority to terminate contracts and withdraw service, craft, and commercial plots

The official gazette, Al-Kuwait Al-Youm, published Ministry of Commerce and Industry Decision No. 23 of 2026, delegating to the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Industry the authority to impose the administrative penalty of terminating contracts and revoking service, craft, and commercial plots under the supervision of the General Authority of Industry.

Article 1 of the decision states: “The Board of Directors of the General Authority of Industry is authorized to impose the administrative penalty of terminating contracts and revoking service, craft, and commercial plots under the supervision of the General Authority of Industry, in the circumstances prescribed by law for imposing such penalty, and in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.”

Article 2 stipulates: “This decision shall take effect from the date of its issuance, shall be published in the official gazette, and all competent authorities shall implement it.”
