Al-Maliki: Interception of ballistic missile launched by Houthi militia at Riyadh

Turki Al-Maliki, the official spokesperson for the “Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen,” announced that the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces successfully intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi terrorist militia toward the city of Riyadh early Saturday morning.

Al-Maliki clarified that the Houthi terrorist militia’s escalation and its continued attempts to target civilians and civilian infrastructure in the capital, Riyadh—a city home to more than eight million citizens and residents—confirm the militia’s intransigence and its deliberate, systematic targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure in a terrorist and hostile manner.

Al-Maliki affirmed the Coalition’s inherent right to take whatever measures it deems appropriate, in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules, to deter the Houthi terrorist militia’s behavior.
