Indian Embassy plants trees in Towers Park

The Embassy of India in Kuwait organized a tree-planting event today at Towers Park, as part of the “Tree for Mother” campaign, which aims to honor mothers and raise awareness of environmental responsibility through tree planting.

Indian Ambassador Paramita Tripathi stated during the event that this initiative reflected the importance of collective action in protecting the environment, promoting sustainability, and creating greener urban spaces, thereby contributing to making Kuwait greener and more sustainable.

She emphasized the importance of community participation in supporting environmental sustainability efforts, encouraging the continuation of initiatives aimed at providing greener and healthier public spaces. She noted that such initiatives not only improve the local environment but also foster a spirit of shared responsibility and support community engagement in environmental issues.

The initiative is part of the “Tree for Mother” campaign, launched by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 5, 2024, on the occasion of World Environment Day. Since its launch, it has evolved into an initiative implemented across India and in several countries around the world, including Kuwait.
