16 Pakistanis killed, 50 others injured in suicide bombing in northern Pakistan

Pakistani police announced on Friday that at least 16 people, including five police officers, were killed and 50 others injured in a suicide bombing that targeted a mosque inside a police station in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northern Pakistan.
In a statement, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial police said the incident occurred at the police headquarters in the Kohat district of the province, noting that a shootout took place with terrorists accompanying the suicide bomber.
In this regard, provincial Chief Minister Sohail Afzai requested a detailed report from security authorities on the incident, emphasizing that targeting innocent civilians is “extremely regrettable and unacceptable.”
