A group of Real Madrid fans has demanded a public apology from French forward Kylian Mbappé and two of his teammates after they folded their warm-up shirts, which featured a tribute to the city of Ceuta, ahead of the La Liga match against Elche. Mbappé, Brazilian Vinícius Júnior, and French defender Ibrahima Konaté were seen wearing the tribute shirts partially folded before Real Madrid’s 3-2 victory over Elche on Tuesday in the league. In a statement posted on the social media platform X on Wednesday, the “Ultras Sur” group said, “We are certain that every Real Madrid fan and every Spaniard feels ashamed of the image presented by these three individuals,” describing their actions as “unacceptable.”
