Abu Dhabi hosts the launch of the European Basketball Super Cup

Olympiacos Piraeus, Dubai Basketball Club, Real Madrid, and Fenerbahçe TAV Istanbul have arrived in the capital, Abu Dhabi, in preparation for the inaugural edition of the European Basketball Club Super Cup, scheduled for September 18 and 19 at Etihad Arena on Yas Island.
The delegations of the participating teams, along with players, coaching staff, and administrative personnel, received a warm Emirati welcome ahead of the tournament’s kickoff. The event brings together four clubs, led by Olympiacos Piraeus, the reigning EuroLeague champion; Fenerbahçe TAV Istanbul, the 2025 EuroLeague champion; Real Madrid, the 2026 EuroLeague runner-up; and Dubai Basketball Club, representing the UAE.
Competition begins tomorrow, Friday, with the two semifinal matches. The first match pits the champions of the last two EuroLeague seasons, Olympiacos Piraeus and Fenerbahçe TAV Istanbul, against each other, while Dubai Basketball Club faces Real Madrid in the second semifinal. Two matches will be held daily, at 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM UAE time.
