Al-Jalal: Monitoring our students abroad is a priority, and their success represents an investment in Kuwait's future
Kuwaiti Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nader Al-Jalal, affirmed on Thursday that “following up on our students abroad and ensuring the progress of their academic journeys is a priority,” noting that their success represents an investment in Kuwait’s future.
This statement was made during Minister Al-Jalal’s visit to the Gulf Arab University in the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the sidelines of the 26th meeting of the Committee of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, which was held in Manama on Wednesday.
Minister Al-Jalal was welcomed by Dr. Saad Al-Fahid, President of the Gulf Arab University in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He met with a number of Kuwaiti students, listening to their observations, needs, and academic experiences.
During the visit, the Minister inspected several university facilities, including simulation centers and the educational and training capabilities and equipment they house, which contribute to supporting the academic process and developing students’ applied skills. He emphasized the importance of leveraging advanced educational experiences to enhance the quality of higher education and support the development of Gulf competencies.
The Minister praised the role played by the Gulf Arab University as a Gulf academic institution that embodies the concept of cooperation and integration among GCC states in the field of higher education. He affirmed the importance of continuing to develop academic programs and specialized fields to meet the needs of the GCC countries, development requirements, and the labor market.
For his part, Dr. Saad Al-Fahid appreciated the visit of Kuwait’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nader Al-Jalal, to the university. He highlighted the depth of academic relations and joint cooperation with the State of Kuwait, and its role in supporting the university’s progress since its establishment, as well as the distinction of Kuwaiti students and graduates in various specialized fields.
Al-Fahid presented an overview of the university’s journey and its contributions to developing Gulf competencies in specialized fields, reaffirming the university’s commitment to continuing the development of its programs to meet the needs of GCC countries and support the Gulf development trajectory.
