The White House considers the Federal Reserve's decision to raise interest rates "regrettable"

The White House on Wednesday criticized the “regrettable” decision by the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates, despite repeated calls from U.S. President Donald Trump to cut them.

White House spokesperson Kush Desai told Fox News that “the regrettable decision made by the Federal Reserve today to raise interest rates was not, in the administration’s view, particularly well-supported by compelling economic rationale.”
