Tajikistan: Recruitment of our workers for employment in Kuwait

Salha Zada, Tajikistan’s Minister of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Population, affirmed today her country’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Kuwait in the fields of labor force and vocational training.

The Kuwaiti Embassy in Tajikistan stated in a statement received by KUNA that this was expressed during a meeting held between Zada and Kuwait’s Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mohammed Al-Omairi, in the capital, Dushanbe.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Omairi said that the meeting discussed prospects for cooperation in employment, vocational training, and skills development, as well as the exchange of expertise and capacity building between the relevant authorities in both countries.

He added that discussions were held regarding the recruitment of qualified Tajik workers for the private sector in Kuwait, emphasizing the importance of continued coordination among the concerned parties to strengthen cooperation and leverage Tajikistan’s skilled and qualified technical expertise.

Ambassador Al-Omairi reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to facilitating communication and following up on proposals with the relevant authorities, as well as enhancing direct communication between Tajikistan’s Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Population and the competent Kuwaiti authorities, most notably the Public Authority for Manpower.

The two countries had signed a memorandum of understanding on regulating cooperation in the exchange of labor in the private sector during the official visit of Tajikistan’s President, Emomali Rahmon, to Kuwait in 2024.
