«Affairs»: Filling vacancies in «Cooperatives» labor... Immediately
Al-Qureih newspaper learned from its sources that the Ministry of Social Affairs has stressed the need for cooperative societies to promptly fill any shortages or vacancies in the workforce required for operations, regardless of the cause, particularly in operational roles, to ensure that service levels and the smooth functioning of various facilities and departments within the cooperatives are not adversely affected.
According to a circular obtained by Al-Qureih, the Ministry emphasized that these measures are taken to ensure the proper functioning of cooperative societies and to guarantee the optimal delivery of services to members and visitors, while avoiding any shortages or deficiencies in the workforce needed to operate the cooperative’s facilities and departments.
The circular clarified that in the event of any shortage or vacancy in the workforce required for the cooperative’s operations, regardless of the cause—particularly in operational positions such as laborers, shelf stockers, sales clerks, cashiers, cleaners, handlers, and any other operational roles required by the cooperative—the society must take immediate steps to fill the gaps, ensuring that service levels and the smooth functioning of its various facilities and departments are not compromised.
It further added that, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, decisions, and systems, the cooperative may take contracting measures with specialized and licensed companies to provide the necessary workforce to address actual needs and vacancies, following approved legal and administrative procedures. The circular stressed the importance of full compliance with all laws, ministerial decisions, regulations, systems, and instructions governing this matter when contracting with manpower supply companies, and verifying that the contracted companies meet all required conditions, licenses, and approvals.
The circular also emphasized the necessity of obtaining the required approvals from the Ministry and relevant authorities before concluding and implementing manpower supply contracts, and adhering to all approved procedures, documents, and controls in this regard.
